If you have purchased your SIM from Amazon, FB or any other e-commerce website, you will not have to pay an activation fee but you still have to purchase a plan for each SIM through our website.
How do I find out if my current phone is compatible?
Reach out to us with your current phone’s Brand, Model and IMEI number. We should be able to confirm if your current phone is compatible with our network.
Can I keep my current phone number?
Reach out to us with the name of your current wireless service provider. We should be able to confirm if you current number can be transferred/ported-in.
I have an iPhone, can I transfer my service to Bytes Mobile?
Yes, all iPhones starting with the iPhone8 are compatible with our service. All networks and MVNO customers are eligible to transfer their phone and number to Bytes Mobile except current (Direct) Verizon or Verizon owned brand customers cannot transfer active phones or lines to Bytes Mobile. All phones must be unlocked in order to be transferred to Bytes Mobile. Locked phones cannot be transferred.
What type of plans does Bytes Mobile offer?
We offer monthly, annual, two years (2Y) and three years (3Y) plans. 3Y plans offer the lowest prices and long term savings that most of our customers prefer. Follow us on your favorite social media platform to stay informed about special offers.
What is the Bytes Plan?
Bytes Plan is an affordable plan for customers that mainly need wireless voice and text service. The plan includes 5GB of high speed data on our 5G/4G LTE network. Annual Bytes Plan is one of our most popular plan, second only to the limited time 2Y and 3Y discounted plans offered on the Unlimited and HighQ plans.
What other Plans do you offer?
Unlimited Plan – this is our standard unlimited plan, it offers strong nationwide connectivity with 40GB of high speed data. Video is offered at 480p or SD quality.
Unlimited with HighQ Plan – this is our next level unlimited plan with HighQ connectivity and 60GB of high speed data. Video is offered at 1080p or HD quality.
HighQ Plan – this is the highest quality of service plan offered and gives you 120GB of high speed data. Video is offered at 4K quality.
All plans include unlimited voice and text.
Data Only plans are also offered for tablets and wifi/mifi devices.
What is HighQ?
HighQ is the highest quality of service offered by Bytes Mobile. HighQ is offered at QCI-8 level, the highest level available to consumers in the US. With HighQ your connection will prioritize better quality connectivity where network coverage is available.
I have a 5G phone from a GSM network provider, is it compatible with your network?
Message us to know for sure. Most 5G phones from major brands are now certified for use on all networks. Chances are that you can transfer to Bytes Mobile. You will soon be able to check compatibility on our website using your phone’s IMEI number. If you have an iPhone8 or newer version iPhone, then your phone is compatible and eligible for a transfer/port-in. Direct Verizon customers cannot transfer active lines or phones to Bytes Mobile.
I have a 4G/LTE phone, is it compatible with your service?
If you have a compatible 4G/LTE device then you can transfer to Bytes Mobile. You will soon be able to check compatibility on our website using your phone’s IMEI number. Message us to check for compatibility.
Who cannot transfer a line?
Direct Verizon customers cannot transfer active lines or phones to Bytes Mobile (recently cancelled lines are not allowed to be transferred either). Brands that are owned by Verizon are not allowed to be direct transferred either. Limitation applies to phone number and phone both. This limitation does not apply to non-direct Verizon customers such as Verizon MVNO or any other carrier/MVNO. This limitation does not apply to transferring inactive phones or getting new lines/phones.
Do you offer international calls and texting? How about roaming?
Unlimited international texting is now included with all four of our phone plan types purchased for any duration.
International Calling and Roaming is offered to customers as an add-on. Prepay for International Calling or International Roaming credits as needed. They are available for purchase in $30, $50, $100, $200, $300 increments each for calling and roaming. Check the listing for International Calling and International Roaming for rates that apply. Your credits will get used up in a pay-as-you-go manner and you will be liable for all your actual usage regardless of credits purchased.
International service is available in 200+ countries including calling and texting from US plus calling, texting or using data while overseas.
What is your Pre-paid Wallet offering?
Pre-paid Wallet allows you to minimize your monthly bill to $2 per month and buy the amount of voice minutes, texts and data that you want to use each month. This offering will be introduced in August 2023.
Do you offer IoT plans?
Yes, IoT customers should reach out to us at sales@bytesmobile.com. We offer IoT plans in the US and majority of all non-embargoed countries around the world.
What is Bytes Mobile’s AIoT platform? How is it different than IoT platform?
Our AIoT platform is only available to a limited number of customers on a trial basis. Once we have completed our build, we will open up to other customers. We are currently working with customers in manufacturing and smart cities verticals. If you are in these or other industries and would like to become a trial customer, please reach out to us. We pick only one customer per vertical as a trail customer to help shape our platform. If you build robots, drones, IoT devices or other hardware, reach out to us for partnership opportunities. If you are a wireless carrier outside of the US, reach out to us for partnership opportunities. Our IoT offering includes carrier provided platform, our AIoT platform is being built in-house.
